After Bonaire we left with a special chartered plane to Aruba. De spot in Aruba is totally different than Bonaire – offshore gusty wind which made it really difficult to do your moves. We saw some surprising results in the double elimination. The competition was held deeper at sea and the judges were on a floating pond. During the heats we had to wait in the water. I ended on the 7th place with which I am really pleased.
The way back was not so good – my surf equipment stayed behind in Aruba. Just now when I had really little time and had to leave for Lanzarote the next morning. Hopefully the bag arrives before the competition starts.
