The PWA event in Sylt is the longest competition but also the biggest competition of the whole year. It was a 10 days event with not too much action as the wind was light or to offshore. The third day we got some wind from the right which was not to offshore yet and was still possible to sail. The conditions were really super light and it was usually just waiting for a gust and trying to get the 3 moves on each side. The heats where extended up to 12 min. to give everybody the chance to get those 3 moves each tack. During my first heat we got pretty lucky with the wind and we got some really good gusts in the beginning and I could do some nice moves but still it wasn't really my best heat and was very happy I past. In the second round I would face Kiri for the 2nd time this year and managed to get a really good heat on the inside but could only try 3 moves on the outside because of the light wind but in the end still managed to get all my required moves. I lost again against Kiri but this time it was with a 2-1 decision so it was the closest I ever got to Kiri. I ended up on the 9th place in the single elimination.

The rest of the week we didn't get enough wind anymore in front of the beach to get a double elimination done so the competition switched to Slalom further out on the sea. So my first PWA in Sylt came to a end without having to face the mean shorebreak from Sylt where it's now for, that's maybe for next year!!
