Thanks to J. Carter, EFPT, F. Hauft, Continentseven & Michael Rossmeier a few pics online.

So I had my first PWA event now and got into the top 16 with a shared 9 place which is really a satisfying result. It was just only on the last day the wind was enough to make a single elimination. I was in the first heat which started at 5.45 in the morning, I never sailed so early before in my live!! Lucky I didn’t have any problems with the early hour so I was already warming up at 5.30 . The wind wasn’t so strong but I was good plaining with my flare 88 and my S1 4.7 which is the biggest sail I use. My first heat went perfect, I started with a shaka on the one way and when I came back I did a shaka flaka on the other way. Afterwards the wind dropped a bit and I only could do sliding moves like e-slider both ways, ss chacho, oh grubby Diablo and move’s like this. I passed and had to go in the second round against Rossmeier. The wind became even less than before and we got heats from 9 min. for 6 moves each way. I managed to land one nice shaka on my way out but beside that I only could do sliding moves because the wind was incredibly light during the heat as Rossmeier also felt so hard he couldn’t land his shaka. I won this heat and was now in the top 16 so I made my goal and was now up against Taty Frans who was really sailing solid heats all the time. I decided to go for more big moves when I got the wind. I almost landed my culo but fell in the end. But I still managed to show some nice moves like shaka, a nice normal chacho, e-slider Diablo both ways and some more sliding moves. But all of this was not enough to defeat the great performance of Taty who in the end became even the event winner in Podersdorf so it was no shame to lose from him. This was also the end result of the competition as we couldn’t even start the double elimination. In the end my first PWA was a great success!! I would also want to thank the organisation to put such a great event at such a great spot, I enjoyed sailing in Podersdorf and can’t wait to go back next year. I also can’t wait to go to Fuerteventura and meet everybody from the other surfers again which made it also possible to have a great week even though there was no wind except the last day.
